NBA’S THREE MAN COMMITTEE SUBMITS REPORT ON CONFLICTING ORDERS OBTAINED IN POLITICAL MATTERS TO NBA PRESIDENT

The Nigerian legal community recently witnessed a spate of conflicting orders that were obtained and granted from various courts across the country in political cases, which created ripples all over the nation.

The uproar necessitated the NBA President, Mr Olumide Akpata to set-up a three man Committee made up of Dr. Babatunde Ajibade SAN, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Mr. Oluwaseun Abimbola SAN, Chairman of the Section on Legal Practice and Dr. Monday Ubani, Chairman of the Section on Public Interest and Development Law.

Fmr. NBA 2nd VP, Ubani, Emerges New #NBA-SPIDEL Chairman

The Former 2nd Vice-President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Monday Ubani, has emerged as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law.

The election was conducted during the Annual General Meeting of the Section on Wednesday 26th May, 2021 at its ongoing Annual Conference taking place at Ibadan, Oyo State.

Land Use Charge Protest: Police, DSS Lay Seige To NBA Ikeja Branch Secretariat

Scores of security men including officials of the Department of State Security led by DCP Operations, Lagos State Police Command, A.

Mohammed, have invaded the Nigerian Bar Association office, Ikeja Branch.

The siege followed a threat by the NBA led by its Chairman, Adesina Ogunlana, to call out members on a protest tomorrow to coincide with President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Lagos.
